Google-Anthropic Deal: One Million TPU Chips in Largest AI Contract Ever
Google and Anthropic inked a historic AI deal for one million TPU chips, boosting computational power by 2026.
In October 2025, Google and Anthropic announced a deal described as the largest in AI infrastructure history, where Anthropic will acquire one million TPU chips valued at tens of billions of dollars.
The deal will provide over a gigawatt of computational power, set to be available in 2026. In another development, Meta Platforms, which spends between $70-72 billion annually on AI infrastructure, is considering renting TPU chips from Google Cloud in 2026 and purchasing them directly in 2027.
Google estimates that expanding TPU adoption could allow it to capture 10% of Nvidia's annual revenue of $90 billion, roughly $9 billion. Additionally, startup Monad announced the launch of its mainnet on November 24, with a capacity of 10,000 transactions per second, and its MON token has begun trading on major platforms like Coinbase and Bybit.
