Bloomberg reported that billionaire Alan Howard, who manages the largest hedge fund operating in Abu Dhabi, confirmed that the Gulf city is steadily progressing towards becoming a global financial center that can compete with Western hubs like London and New York. A few years ago, Howard believed that Abu Dhabi would become the 'third corner' alongside New York and London, but he now asserts that it is 'well on its way to achieving that'. His hedge fund currently employs 150 staff in the emirate, as he mentioned during Abu Dhabi Finance Week on Monday.
