The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) started today’s session with a slight increase, as the FADXGI index rose by around 0.15% to reach 10,051.8 points in the opening minutes. The uptick was mainly supported by gains in energy and banking stocks, offset by selective declines in some service sector shares.

Opening data showed trading value surpassed AED 581 million, with more than 169 million shares traded across approximately 7,900 transactions, reflecting significant activity from the outset and a clear focus on leading stocks in the main market.

Leading energy stocks provided notable support:
- ADNOC Gas (ADNOCGAS) rose to AED 3.58 (+1.13%) on strong volume.
- ADNOC Drilling (ADNOCDRILL) traded at AED 5.50 (+0.36%).
- ADNOC Distribution (ADNOCDIST) stood at AED 3.96 (+0.76%).

In the banking sector:
- First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) posted a slight gain.
- Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) declined to AED 20.94 (-1.23%), partially weighing on the index.

ADNOC Gas topped the list for trading volume with over 72 million shares, followed by AMR, Eshraq Investments (ESHRQ), Lulu Group International (LULU), and 2PointZero, which saw a slight decrease.

Key early session gainers included Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB, +3.89%), AMR (+2.42%), Aldar Properties (ALDAR, minor gains), and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB, limited positive movement).

On the downside, BILDCO (-3.27%), Julphar (-2.38%), ADIB (-1.23%), and APEX (down over 1%) faced selling pressure.

The ADX’s opening reflects a cautiously positive sentiment, with ongoing momentum in energy stocks and mixed performance in banks and services. Investors are closely monitoring liquidity trends for signs of a continued upward move or potential sideways trading during the rest of the session.
