The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) continued its upward momentum on Wednesday, with the FADX General Index rising by 0.194% to close at 9,790.85 points. The gains were primarily fueled by strong performances in the technology and financial services sectors. Total trading value reached AED 588.85 billion, with 193.86 million shares exchanged across 7,818 transactions, indicating robust activity and healthy liquidity in the market.
The exchange’s total market capitalization stood at AED 2.97 trillion, with 90 listed securities traded. The technology sector led the gains, highlighted by TKFL shares jumping 15% to AED 5.750, followed by OETHC in the health technology segment, which rose 14.805% to AED 0.442. This reflects increasing investor interest in high-growth sectors.
Banking and financial services stocks also delivered positive results, reinforcing confidence in the fundamentals of the UAE banking sector and its ability to capitalize on ongoing economic growth. Transportation and logistics shares registered notable gains as well, signaling optimism about regional trade flows and connectivity initiatives.
Conversely, some stocks faced selling pressure, with ALEFEDT declining 9.649% and E7W down 9.574%, likely due to profit-taking after recent strong performances. Analysts suggest the market is experiencing a healthy sector rotation, with investors focusing on companies demonstrating sustainable growth and strong fundamentals.
