Boeing Records Huge Orders for 777X to Strengthen its Lead Over Struggling Airbus

Bloomberg reported that Boeing Co. secured a total of 164 aircraft orders in November, with approximately half of these orders designated for the new 777X model. This move aims to enhance its sales dominance over its European competitor Airbus SE, which is facing challenges. The major orders included a significant deal with Emirates Airlines for 65 777X aircraft, along with an additional nine aircraft from another customer. The orders also comprised 43 737 MAX aircraft, 30 787 Dreamliners, and 17 other wide-body aircraft.
These orders come at a time when Boeing is facing operational challenges, yet they reflect its strategy to focus on large deals for major aircraft like the 777X to strengthen its market share, further widening the gap with Airbus, which is struggling with production and delivery issues.
