The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) reported robust financial results for 2025, with pre-tax net profit soaring by 158% to AED 1.06 billion, up from AED 409.3 million in 2024, marking one of the strongest performances in the market's history, according to its annual financial report.

This performance was supported by increased trading activity, growing international participation, improved investment returns, and non-recurring income from the sale of an investment property, which contributed to nearly doubling consolidated revenues for the year.

Revenue and Liquidity Surge

DFM’s total consolidated revenues jumped 102% to AED 1.28 billion in 2025. Earnings before interest, taxes, and depreciation reached AED 1.13 billion with a strong margin of 88%, reflecting high operational efficiency and an improved income structure.

In market activity, the total trading value reached AED 174 billion, a year-on-year increase of 63%. The average daily trading value rose to AED 692 million, the highest in over a decade.

Market Index and Capitalization

The DFM index ended 2025 up 17.2%, while the total market capitalization of listed companies reached about AED 992 billion by year-end, signaling stronger investor confidence and momentum.

Expanding Investor Base

The market continued to attract new investors, with 97,394 new investors joining in 2025, raising the total to over 1.25 million. Foreign investors accounted for 51% of total trading activity, while institutional investors contributed 71% of trades, reflecting growing market depth and maturity.

Notable Listings

2025 saw significant listings and deals that boosted the market’s status, including the listing of Masaken Dubai REIT, the region’s first listed real estate investment trust, the secondary offering of du, and the listing of Alec Holdings, the largest in the UAE’s construction and infrastructure sector, with subscriptions far exceeding the offering size.
