The price of gold in Jordan has increased slightly today, with 24-carat gold priced at 95.95 Jordanian Dinars per gram, up 0.17% from yesterday, driven by rising global prices and strong local demand ahead of the year-end.
The price for 21-carat gold was 83.96 Dinars per gram, with one ounce priced at 2,984.04 Dinars, according to Gold Price Data and Exchange Rates.
The increase is attributed to regional tensions and increased imports from the Gulf, with analysts predicting the price per gram could reach 97 Dinars by the end of December if tourism demand continues.
However, pressures on the Jordanian Dinar, which is linked to the US Dollar, may limit momentum, especially with the Federal Reserve's decisions expected tomorrow that could impact emerging market currencies.
