The Saudi stock market (Tadawul) opened Monday, December 29, 2025, with a slight decline as the main index (TASI) fell 0.25% to 10,390.26 points in early trading. This drop was driven by pressures on several leading sectors, notably transportation, which slipped to 4,932.28 points (-0.38%), commercial and professional services at 3,938.49 points (-0.33%), long-term goods at 3,524.93 points (-0.40%), and consumer services at 3,468.44 points (-0.48%).

Parallel market indices showed mixed performance: the Nomu index declined to 23,205.30 points (-0.17%), sukuk and bonds held steady at 1,377.11 points (-0.09%), and the funds index was at 911.95 points (-0.01%).

On the stock level, Dar Al Arkan topped gainers at SAR 5.21 (+3.78%), followed by Suhail at SAR 16.53 (+3.70%), Raoom at SAR 64.60 (+2.95%), Gasco at SAR 91.05 (+2.48%), and Salama at SAR 8.70 (+2.11%).

Among losers, Al Baha led with a sharp 7.68% drop to SAR 29.80. Enaya fell to SAR 6.44 (-3.30%), Arab Insurance to SAR 9.11 (-2.88%), Banan to SAR 3.38 (-2.87%), and Tuby to SAR 7.87 (-2.36%).

By traded value, Aramco Saudi Arabia led with over SAR 15.9 million at SAR 23.42, followed by Al Rajhi (SAR 11.0 million at SAR 95.85), Al Baha (SAR 10.8 million), STC (SAR 7.9 million), and Alinma (SAR 6.4 million).

By volume, Sadirat traded over 2.18 million shares, Dar Al Arkan 678,000 shares, Americana 591,000 shares, Chemical 391,000 shares, and Al Baha 365,000 shares.

The market's opening reflects a cautious and watchful sentiment among investors, with ongoing sector pressures and fluctuations in leading stocks as the year draws to a close.
