Strong Gains in Egypt and Slight Decline in Jordan Amid Notable Annual Increases for Arab Markets
Egypt's EGX 30 rose 0.38% daily, up 34.56% yearly. Jordan's ASE fell 0.18% daily, but gained 40.75% over the year.
According to Trading Economics, Egypt's main stock index (EGX 30) climbed to 41,499 points on December 4, 2025, marking an increase of 0.38% compared to the previous session. Over the past month, the index rose by 6.05%, while it posted a substantial annual jump of 34.56% compared to the same period last year, based on CFD (Contract for Difference) data tracking the benchmark index's performance in Egypt.
In contrast, the Amman Stock Exchange's general index (ASE) in Jordan declined to 3,423 points on December 4, 2025, down by 0.18% from the previous session. Despite this daily decrease, the index rose by 2.91% over the past month and remains at a high annual level, up 40.75% compared to the same period last year, according to CFD trades tracking the Jordanian market benchmark.
